Ingredients
(makes 15 macaroons)
1 banana
5 tablespoons raw cocoa powder
1½ cup shredded coconut
1 tablespoon chopped almonds
½ teaspoon salt
2 tabelspoons coconut oil (melted)
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method
1 In a large mixing bowl, mash the banana using a fork, until it forms a smooth consistency.
2 Into the bowl add the cocoa powder, shredded coconut, chopped almonds, salt, melted coconut oil, honey and vanilla essence.
3 Mix the ingredients together until it is well combined.
4 Line a Tupperware or baking tray with baking paper.
5 Using an ice-cream scoop or your hands, portion out the macaroon mixture into small, bite-size domes.
6 Place the macaroons into the freezer for 20 minutes to allow them to set and harden.
